Anna Materikina
Anna Sodaz, also known as Materikina, is a UAE-based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, artist, curator, and architect. Performing under the name Anna Sodaz and leading the solo project Radyica, Sodaz blends traditional motifs from the Far and Middle East with contemporary genres such as hip-hop, glitch, and electronic dance music.
Trained in piano and choir from an early age, Sodaz pursued a career in architecture while remaining deeply engaged in the underground music scene through bands including Nikola Tesla and Thee Coils and Oat Oaks. This multidisciplinary foundation informs Sodazs artistic practice, which spans performance, event curation, immersive installations, and experimentation at the intersection of sound, art, and technology.
Currently exploring creative possibilities in the metaverse, Sodaz seeks to merge digital and physical landscapes into unified sensory experiences. By integrating music, visual arts, and architecture, Sodaz continues to expand the boundaries of contemporary cultural expression in the UAE and beyond.
