Ayesh Wickramasekera
Ayesh Wickramasekera is a versatile guitarist and educator with more than seventeen years of professional experience in the music industry since 2008. Active in both Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates, Ayesh is fluent across multiple genres and has performed widely with ensembles such as the Dominic & Ayesh Classical Guitar and Violin Duo and as a member of the Abu Dhabi Big Band.
Performance highlights include contributions as one of the main music providers for Galleria Mall in 2014, participation in the Formula 1 YAS opening concert, and appearances at numerous commercial venues across Abu Dhabi. Expanding beyond live performance, Ayesh composed music for the Spanish theatrical production Adaptación Womagis, further demonstrating artistic range and creativity.
Ayeshs formal training includes a Diploma in Classical Guitar from the University of West London and a Grade 8 Classical Guitar Performance qualification from Trinity College London in the UAE. Through both teaching and performance, Ayesh continues to contribute to the UAEs vibrant cultural and musical scene.
