Eduardo Benito-Snachez, known as Shifting Heigo, is a musician and sound artist deeply engaged with new technologies and interdisciplinary collaboration. He has worked with the University of Málaga (Spain) on its PhD program in video game design, composing interactive music, while also performing as a tenor with the Qatar Concert Choir, affiliated with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2024, Heigo released his debut album To Model Phenomena on vinyl through the French label Benshi. The work has been featured widely across Europe and the US, gaining recognition on platforms such as Radio 3 (RTVE Spanish National Broadcaster), CAMP Radio in France, and Dublab Los Angeles, where it was selected by Jimmy Tamborello for his show Dying Songs. The album has also been highlighted by Everything is Noise, Frequency State, Letters from a Tapehead, and received further coverage from A Closer Listen, Stereogum, Surviving the Golden Age, Cleveland Scene, Tinnitist, Wave Farm, and Department Uno.
Through both academic and artistic projects, Heigo explores the intersections of sound, technology, and human experience, creating music that is as conceptually rich as it is sonically immersive.
