Elissar Alsaid

Alissar Alsaid, born in Damascus, began piano studies at the age of four before pursuing academic training in Arabic singing at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus, where Alsaid specialized in Oriental vocal performance. This foundation has led to an extensive career as a soloist and educator, balancing tradition with contemporary expression.

Alsaid has performed widely at the Damascus Opera House with the Syrian National Orchestra for Arabic Music and collaborated with ensembles such as the Syrian Symphony Orchestra and the Orpheus Orchestra. As a featured soloist, Alsaid has worked with renowned composer Taher Mamelli in concerts at Dubai Opera, Damascus Opera House, Aleppo Citadel, and the Cultural Theatre in Latakia. Additional collaborations include performances with leading Arab artists such as Mayada El Hennawy, Abeer Nehme, Afaf Radi, and Safwan Bahlawan.

In recognition of UAE Union Day, Alsaid performed with the Syrian National Orchestra for Arabic Music at the Damascus Opera House and was honored at the UAE Embassy in Damascus at the request of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. Across the Emirates, Alsaid has appeared on prestigious stages including Dubai Opera, Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, and the NYU Abu Dhabi Arts Center. In 2024, Alsaid performed at the closing ceremony of the Fujairah Media Forum with the Fujairah Academy of Music Ensemble and at the National Conservatory in Uzbekistan.

Alongside performance, Alsaid has dedicated significant effort to teaching. After early teaching roles in Damascus and a position as piano and vocal instructor in Dubai, Alsaid is currently a faculty member in Oriental Singing at the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts, where expertise and artistry continue to inspire the next generation of musicians.
