NABEEL KHAN
Nabeel Khan is an Indian Sarangi maestro, composer, and singer-songwriter based in the United Arab Emirates. He is the first and only Indian Sarangi player in the UAE and a recipient of the UAE Golden Visa, officially recognized for his artistic impact. Representing the eighth generation of Sarangi artists in his family, Khan is widely regarded as the worlds youngest established Sarangi maestro.
Born into the distinguished Moradabad Sainia Gharana, which traces its musical lineage back to the legendary Mian Tansen, Khan carries forward one of the most revered traditions in Indian classical music. He is the grandson of Padma Bhushan Ustad Sabri Khan Saheb and the son of Ustad Nasir Khan, both celebrated Sarangi masters.
Khan has performed at prestigious music festivals worldwide, pioneering the Sarangi across diverse genres and introducing it to audiences in the UAE, India, the United Kingdom, Italy, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, Denmark, Poland, Sri Lanka, Norway, Spain, Portugal, and France. His versatility has positioned him as a global cultural ambassador for the instrument.
Throughout his career, Khan has received multiple honors, including the Excellence in Music Award (2018), the Best Young Indian Classical Instrumentalist Award (2019, New Delhi; 2023, Paris), and the Young Icon Award (2024, Mumbai). His collaborations span a wide spectrum of celebrated artists, including A.R. Rahman, Hans Zimmer, Zayn Malik, Selena Gomez, Shahrukh Khan, Atif Aslam, Arijit Singh, Salman Khan, Sonu Nigam, and Asha Bhosle, among many others.
Through performance, composition, and collaboration, Nabeel Khan continues to elevate the Sarangi on the world stage, balancing tradition with innovation and carrying forward a centuries-old legacy into contemporary music.
