Rommel Coronel Rivas, born in Mexico City, is a pianist and flutist recognized for his expressive and versatile playing. He received his musical formation in Tuscany, Italy, under the guidance of Carlo Palese, and has since built a career that bridges performance and education across several countries.
Coronel has earned multiple distinctions, including second prize at the Crescendo Competition in Florence, an honorary mention at the International Piano Competition Raíces México, and first prize at the National Chamber Music Competition Ollin Yoliztli. He was also a finalist in the Solistas Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México competition.
He has participated in masterclasses in Mexico, Italy, and Poland with internationally acclaimed artists such as Andrzej Jasinski, Anna Malikova, Aleksander Pashkov, and Leslie Howard, further shaping his artistry.
Currently based in the United Arab Emirates, Coronel serves as a professor at the International Music Institute and as the pianist of the Abu Dhabi Youth Choir, contributing to the regions cultural and educational landscape.
